യുക്രൈൻ യുദ്ധം അഞ്ചാം ദിവസത്തിലേക്ക് കടക്കുമ്പോൾ ഏറെ ഭീതിജനകമായ കാഴ്ചകളിലൂടെയാണ് ലോകം കടന്നുപോകുന്നത്. ഇത്തരത്തിൽ ഭയാനകമായ കാഴ്ചകളിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോകുമ്പോഴും ഇന്ത്യ ഏവരെയും നാട്ടിലേക്ക് എത്തിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ തിരക്കിലാണ്. ഇത്തരത്തിൽ നിരവധിപേർ നാട്ടിൽ എത്തിക്കഴിഞ്ഞെങ്കിലും നിരവധിപേർ അതിർത്തികളിലെ ബങ്കറുകളിലും കുടുങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുകയാണ്. ഇതേമുൻനിർത്തി ഹൈബി ഈഡൻ തന്റെ ഫേസ്ബുക്കിൽ കുറിച്ചത് ചർച്ചയാകുകയാണ്.

കേരളത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ള ധാരാളം വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ വിവിധ അതിർത്തികളിൽ കുടുങ്ങി കിടക്കുന്നതിന്റെ ദയനീയമായ ചിത്രങ്ങൾ അതീവ ദുഖകരമാണ്. കടുത്ത ശൈത്യവും, ഭക്ഷണവും വെള്ളവും ലഭിക്കാത്തതിനാൽ ക്ഷീണിതരായും അതിർത്തികളിൽ എത്തിയ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളെ സ്വീകരിക്കാൻ എംബസി ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ ഇല്ല എന്നത് അവരെ കൂടുതൽ വിഷമത്തിലാക്കുകയും അതിർത്തി കടക്കുവാൻ അനുവദിക്കാതെയും കൊടും തണുപ്പിൽ മണിക്കൂറുകളോളം യാതൊരു ഷെൽറ്ററുകളും ഇല്ലാതെ നിൽക്കേണ്ടി വരുന്ന അവസ്ഥയാണ്.

അതിർത്തി സേനകൾ ഇന്ത്യൻ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളോട് യാതൊരു കരുണയും കാണിക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നത് അത്യന്തം ഗൗരവമായ വിഷയമാണ് .ആക്കൂട്ടത്തിലുള്ള തൃക്കാക്കരയിലെ മോസസ് ആന്റണി എന്ന വിദ്യാർത്ഥിയുമായി ഇന്നലെ ഫോണിൽ സംസാരിച്ചു.

രണ്ടു ദിവസം മുൻപ് ഒഡെസ യിൽ നിന്നും 4 മണിക്കൂർ സഞ്ചരിച്ചെത്താവുന്ന മൾഡോവ അതിർത്തിയിലേക്ക് കടക്കുവാനായി സഹായം അഭ്യർത്ഥിച്ച 145 വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളുടെ വിവരങ്ങൾ കൈമാറി എങ്കിലും എംബസ്സി ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ ആരും തന്നെ അവരെ ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടില്ല എന്നറിയാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞു. സ്വന്തം നിലക്ക് മോൾഡോവാൻ ബോർഡർ കടന്ന ആ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളെ അടിയന്തിരമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് അവർക്കു വേണ്ട സഹായങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തു റൊമാനിയ വഴി നാട്ടിലെത്താനുള്ള അടിയന്തിര സഹായങ്ങൾ ഒരുക്കുവാൻ അഭ്യർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു.

റഷ്യയുടെ അടുത്ത പ്രദേശമായ സുമി റീജിയനിൽ കുടുങ്ങിയിക്കുന്ന 454 വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളുടെ വിവരങ്ങൾ കൂടി അയച്ചിരുന്നു . അവർക്കു റഷ്യ വഴി ഇന്ത്യയിലേക്കെത്തുന്നതിനുള്ള സഹായവും മറ്റു സൗകര്യങ്ങളും ഒരുക്കണമെന്ന് കൂടി അഭ്യർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു. കൂടാതെ എല്ലാ അതിർത്തികളിലും കൂടുതൽ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരെ വിന്യസിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള അടിയന്തിര നടപടികൾ സ്വീകരിക്കണം.

We are getting panic calls from stranded students who are fighting severe fatigue and extremely cold conditions, delay in getting entry permission and non availability of temporary shelters at crossing is a serious matter to deal with. Most of them reached borders as per the directive from the embassy but there was no Indian officials to receive them, scarcity of water, food and temporary shelters to escape from extreme weather conditions made their life miserable and are waiting for hours in border. Student’s stuck in boarder shared videos of keeping them in hostage like situation by the border guards in the freezing cold and denied food, water, shelter or safe passage.

Day before yesterday I had given a list of 145 students from Odessa who were seeking support and advice of embassy on crossing Moldova border to reach Romania and awaited reply from embassy. It is learnt that they did not get any response from embassy but they managed to cross border of Moldova. It is desired that our delegates contact them and give them priority in next evacuation flight to India.

I am requesting your kind intervention and deploy our officials in borders for receiving our students and arrange temporary shelters as the evacuation process may take some time as we have a large number of students in various universities of Ukraine. Also requested to make arrangements to bring back students stuck in SUMY region, which is near to Russian border as the evacuation may be only possible via Russia.
